From looking at the ETK, theres nothing special about the 128 brakes.. Looks on the diagrams very much like my erstwhile e36 brakes.. BMW's been using them or ones very similar to them for years, and there must be dozens of DIY threads on these oft used 2 piston calipers. From the similarity of the sketches, try this on for size:

What makes this 135i brake pad replacement thread so valuable is that these are Unique brakes, both front and back, and with the paucity of literature out there on the 1 series in general, the value of this thread becomes very evident!
