I remember reading in Automobile Magazine - years ago (1992-ish?) that Bob Lutz while he was at GM brought in a Trabby (Trabant). A US car manufacture could bring in any non-complying car so long as they export it (within a certain amount of time) OR they crush it! And crush it they did! I remember the article syaing how Mr Lutz used the Trabbie's non existant brakes to scar the crap out of his two younger kids who just got their drivers lic! lol
