I agree with your statements on actors and direction in general, but IMO it’s still on Affleck. At least a big part of it. To his credit, he seems to realize that he’s supposed to play Batman with quiet menace and be all dark and brooding, but he doesn’t pull it off. He just imitates Bale’s growly voice and sort of just gets from fight scene to fight scene very stiffly and even a little thuggishly. He’s a bit better as Wayne but not as suave as Bale was.
One thing I’ll say about Pattinson (his name is misspelled in the title btw) is that he’s probably got the ‘dark and brooding’ part down.
