Thanks for the response! The problem is still happens to my car in aggressive turns, like cloverleaf interchanges. I could imagine it causing enough alarm to potentially lose control under the correct circumstances, but it occurs so rarely that I don't think it's worth it to have the dash messed with.
Well, mine is a '12 and it happened twice. The first time it was cold, but the second time was burning hot and left a red patch on my foot through my sock. It didn't smell like coolant, but it did leave a light burn on my foot. Can't have that. It must have been sitting on something hot under there. This was after about an hour of driving, so the motor was fully hot.
