Went to a Cars and Coffee in Newington, NH this morning. Nice 100mi roundtrip with my brother, top down going home. Absolutely insane turnout - I had no idea. had to be 3000+ cars or more. It covered one half of the parking lot of a good sized mall. We were there for a couple hours and only managed half the parking lot.
Saw one other 1-series - a blue on brown coupe. Countless 3-series. And about everything else you could imagine, and several things I had never seen before in person, like a Ford RS-200 and a VW Golf Country 4x4. My meathead brother was tripping over his tongue at all the muscle cars. And a supposedly original NYC Dodge Reliant cop car with NH plates "Bacon"!
Not too many high speed pursuits in Manhattan, I guess.
This one was the last of the season - I will definitely attend a few more next summer. The C&Cs up here in Portland were cancelled due to the pandemic, but the turnout is usually 100 cars max. I just wore a mask and stayed away from other people as best I could.
