Agree that you should never go LOW QUALITY on wheels and tires. There are good inexpensive options, so I think the phrase "don't cheap out" is misleading and biased, but I digress...

Just to say: BMW marks up their wheels by quite a lot. BMW wheels tend to be very heavy, soft, weak, and brittle. Don't ask me how they can be all of those at once, but they are. It's even worse if you up-size the tire width and go with a lower profile sidewall to compensate. Lose lose. The wheels they have available for our cars are typically just cast. Not great, and absolutely shit in the value department.

Because they are so expensive my advice would be to find a wheel manufacturer that makes something similar and then check their manufacturing process. For that same 2-3000 dollars you could end up with a much lighter and stronger wheel. Can't argue with that.

They do look nice though!
