LOL @ "old school". Both are fantastic tires and behave extremely similarly. The AD-08s have more choices for size though (specifically 285s), but they're a lot more expensive, for hardly any (if any at all) performance gains.

Those guys run tires based on who they get sponsored by (taking into account their top tires of choice, and how much support they are getting from their sponsor). The Berk 135i is running Star Specs, as they are sponsored by Dunlop.
