As for comfort access, I definitely wouldn't pay $500 for it as a stand alone, but for free, I'll take it. I felt somewhat guilty until I got the car and realized pretty quickly that if you don't get the premium package, BMW screws you on the Sirius satellite. I assumed, especially having gotten the tech package, knowing that the car wass prepped and wired for Sirius, it just meant I'd have to pay for that first year of Sirius. (Then, in April, they announced Sirius is free for the first year with any BMW.) But what I found out was, while the car is wired and prepped for Sirius, it won't show up on the menu screen unless you pay the dealer like $500! First they told me $1900! Then it became $500. Needless to say, I was furious. $500 just to have it show up on my menu, while BMW says I get a year for free?

Anyways, take home message is, if you want Sirius on your car, you're either going to have to pay them to unlock it in the menu or have a third party company like bimmer-tech code it on for about $300. That's what I did and so I tell myself $300 for Sirius + Comfort Access isn't that bad. Still mad about it though.
I've never been a big fan of Sirius, tried it previously and it just wasn't for me. Plenty of tunes and podcasts on my phone to keep me satisfied
