OEM disc material is of generally a much higher grade than many aftermarket "cheap" discs. I don't know about MTEC specifically as we don't get those where I am, but I did buy the cheap "Dura" rotors that are still 2 piece like the OEM 135 discs (with the aluminum hat), and they are drilled + slotted so the "look nice".
I paired them with quality pads (Stoptech street sport), but I've unfortunately had pad deposit issues on the rotors almost immediately after installation. So I have light pulsing of the brake pedal now at certain speeds, and I regret going for the cheap discs.
I'd recommend sticking to a better know brand like Pagid, Brembo, Zimmerman, or OEM.
