I've had 3 salvaged BMW's (2 were 135's). I work with cars all the time. To find the value of the car you take the KBB value of the car and subtract $2k. The value of the car is NOT nil... ask for pictures of the car from the accident. Most cars on the road today have been in an accident but not salvaged because the owner did not get it repaired through the insurance company. My cars run perfectly fine. My e46 now has 155k on it five years later.
