My friend has an 09 Si, and I drive it all the time.
No, our gearboxes will never feel like that. They come stock with a Short Throw Shifter, and the action, while quite precise, is very metallic and mechanical. Our gearbox is very different...it has much more soul. While it could benefit from shorter shifts, I don't want it to feel like a Honda gearbox.
And the CDV mod won't affect gearbox feel, just clutch feel.
