I test drove both and the power of the 135i ruled for me too. But my test drives were short, in Honolulu traffic, and both cars were autos (DCT in the 135i and trip in the 128i). A better test drive comparison would have been with manuals in both cars (which is what I wanted) and some back roads and highway driving along with the in town traffic. I think the 128i would have fared better in my eyes in this type of comparison. Probably still would have gone with the 135i though.
