AFAIK not many people doing drag specific suspension setup on these cars. Typically 2 way adjustable dampers for these cars are really damn expensive anyway like in the 4 digit range so you don't see much of that in general unless the owner does competitive driving or just has too much money. Your idea sounds interesting. I have no idea if that shock is compatible or not, but there's no harm trying. Keep in mind the valving may not perfectly match your springs even if it bolts on and the travel is correct.
