No regrets here. I think, whether due to glare or whatever, both the 6500K and 5000K look like a close match when looking straight on, as you can see in pictures. However, when you look at them from a 45* (roughly) angle, the 6500K look almost sky blue. The 5000K looks white. I notice this same color difference when looking at the reflection from the car in front of me--the 6500K clearly has bluer rings than brow and the 5000K looks like a perfect match to the brow.
If I really get picky, I think the 5000K is a shade on the yellower side compared to the eyebrows. Barely. It does not help that the eyebrows seem to have just a touch of purple in them, which the LUX 5000K does not have. The brows are clearly not 8500K+, so I don't know where that hint of purple comes from.
Bottom line, the 5000K matches the brow pretty well under close scrutiny and the 6500K is instantly recognizable as different.
