There are bank 1 and 2, upstream and downstream, total of 4 o2 sensors, damn SULEVS are a nightmare. You must replace all o2 sensors at the same time, this is highly recommended, when you only change one the debris from exhaust will be read differently then the other sensors and can cause a myriad of issues with bmws because of their overkill sensitive monitoring system.
