The Non-RFT version of that tire was the OEM tire on my '05 LS2 powered GTO. Not the best handling car in recent memory, but the tires were competent. Car had the same issue ours do, can't get enough rear tire width under it to help it hook without really going to town on the rear suspension and fenders.
Had the Tremec 6MT box and the best sounding OEM exhaust I've ever heard on a car. The tall gearing sucked though. It may have had more power than our cars stock, but it sure didn't feel like it...
