Can anyone comment on this? I'm trying to decide if having my local garage mechanic pro-actively replace the water pump and thermostat is safer and more cost effective. Rather not have this fail in the middle of driving, tow the car and be without it while BMW fixes it and rips my wallet a new one if it can be prevented. What are you guys planning on doing?
