BMW's entire portfolio, save for the M240 and ///M2, offers nothing truly "engaging" to drive anymore. This car was truly one of the last of its kind.

Bmw is so fond of trying to copy Apples fanatical support from their followers. Why not take a page from their book via a vis the iPhone SE and just take a well loved older form factor and continue to produce it ?
Just take the e82, stuff a new version of idrive in there and you are good to go. Keeps everyone happy.
Probably not enough factory capacity. But that would be something.
