with NCSExpert, you use a laptop and a cable. The software is available for download (free) on-line. The cable as to have a converter in it. The one I bought cost about $100. Here's a link:

There are also tutorials available on-line. I wouldn't say it's exactly easy but if you follow directions it goes pretty quickly.
