Downtown Leipzig is very pretty. Kind has an old school French charm to it with some of the walk in malls and coffee shops. It really surprised me how much I liked the "Alt Stadt" of Leipzig.
Also... Porsche produces cars near the BMW Werk. You might look into a tour there. BMW's LEipzig Werk is the best most modern factory. You will get to see the X1 and 1er being made.... as well as the new i3 and i8(soon to start production).
