Running out of trims - JB4

I posted about my '08 n54 randomly switching from map 5 to map 4, and after speaking to Jon from Burger I did some logging and he mentioned that he thought I was running out of trims. It was at 50 at 35-3700 RPMs and that's when the map changed from 5 to 4. His advice was to either zero out the AFR bias values in the JB4 (I'm using the ones provided by Burger), lower my e85 (only running about 25-30%), or add a BMS backend flash (this was his recommended course of action).

I guess I'm just wondering if this is normal for those of us who have purchased JB4? You added exhaust or something else and then had to do the backend flash with anything more than the JB4 tune itself? Are there any drawbacks from doing the backend flash, like do any factory features no longer work? What would be the disadvantages of zeroing out the AFR bias values instead of doing the backend flash?

Any info is appreciated!
