I have a hard time keeping under 140 km/h

Here if we go 50 km/h over the limit (usually 100 km/h) our cars can be taken away. Thanks to the street racing kids.

I have mine set to "ding ding" when I hit 140 to remind me, another 10 and if a cruser is around, I could loose the car. I usually slow down and blend in with the other cars...

You must be talking about side roads. I go about that I guess. I like to keep it slow because here pedestrians have right of way, and they know it. And that is even j-walking. So, it's best to keep the speed limits always, I would not want to hit a kid. Cars kill pedestrians! Highways is another story. In these cars we have a huge advantage over "normal" cars.
