Definitely shop around, your rate sounds quite high for how little the car is driven.
I'm currently with Progressive, paying about $1,100/yr for my 1M that averages 12-15k miles a year located in 12603. $500 comp w/glass & $1k collision deductible and decent coverage. I get a few discounts but also have some dings on my license from tickets/accident.
