Great thread! I love road trips like this.
When I get the M2, I plan on doing a coast to coast road trip in it. It's something I've always wanted to do, and I can't think of a better way to see the country (not originally from the US).
Thanks for sharing, I'll definitely be using this as a guide for when I drive through Texas.
