they may just need a looooot of heat. The tires I'm running I actually have to be pretty stupid with to get them warmed up and gripping hard. Even coming off the motorway after going 70mph for 20 minutes, there's not enough heat in the tires. You need to hit corners and hard turns to get them to stick. This may be your problem

I may have to give them several hundred miles to wear into gripping properly.
