I would like to point out that the author's money comparison cars (Prius and Taurus) are simply red herrings. Cars like a new(ish) Mustang (you remember the car that Motortrend ran to a virtual dead heat against an M3), the FR-S / BR-Z twins, and 370Z are far better comparisons for the kind of money and vehicle requirements we are talking about here.
