If the car is not tuned, I think Dack is spot on. BMW's updated software flash introduced some serious lag below 2200-2500 rpm. In order to get the same response as before, you would need to double your throttle inputs. The PPK corrects this issue and gives you a very linear torque curve and immediate throttle response. The PPK is not the most powerful tune but power delivery is very predictable.
