If the car is driven in winter, see's rain, salt, ice etc that maybe an issue in the future.

I am on KW V3s and i can say that they are firmer than stock but comfortable.

One needs damper/bump control when you see different tracks, rebound is not really enough (to a degree).

They costed me €2,500 including new front and rear mounts (OEM), installation, alignment and TÜV registration (local German law). KW Dealer removed the alignment pins and was able to get -1.7 camber front. The car is maybe 5mm lowered (it was set at stock height, but after the suspension settled it is just a tad lower). No M3 arms or any other mods to get that camber up front.

From what i read, the Ohlins are damn close to the V3s, but the KW ones have stiffer springs (i believe) and some do not like them on road (just fine if you ask me), but that is coming from the E90 section.
Absolutely.

Have KW V3 on my Civic which is my winter/track slut car. Perfect for what I need. Soften them up for winter, firm them up for the track. Not worried about winter salt. And I live in the city with the highest winter salt use in the world.
