IF you love Porsches... you gotta make your way over to Hamburg...
Porsche in Gmund(Austria) only built three of these race cars. The cars never raced due to Hitler invading Poland and the race being cancelled. Two cars were destroyed by US Soldiers during the liberation of the Zell am See area of Austria. Porsche AG has had one bare chassis in their collection all these years - now its restored and proudly shown in Zuffenhausen. The other two cars were believed to be lost - but it somehow has turned up in Hamburg and has been lovingly restored to its former glory on display in Hamburg! I wonder IF the third car is truly lost or in someone's private Porsche collection. ?
