The comments relate entirely to the US only Manual Gearbox equivalent of the M5 , A transmission the M5 did not really need.
In Munich there are more detractors than supporters of the manual M5
The SMG equipped M5 was all the M5 you would ever need I have a M5 Touring and I can live with the SMG on a day-day basis.
