I should have been clearer. I mean the PS4 has softer sidewall construction and it gives very good ride quality. Less energy is dissipated in the sidewall, so it has benefits for fuel saving. To me the loss of lateral stiffness is noticeable and the steering response feels slow. I don't recommend the PS4 as a performance tire.
