Unsure what the dealer did. At that point I had given up and just took it to them to deal with. When ordering the ECU from the states I had to give them my VIN number so they could code it to the car.
I bought all the parts from the states and just got them to install them and set them up. Doing the ECU, alternator, seat module and while they were at it I got them to change the water pump and thermostat as the car was at 100kkms. All that was 8 hours of labour which seemed reasonable.
