N52 128i - Exxon Valdez impression

Much to my chagrin my, new to me, 2013 128i has decided being oil tight is boring and conventional. Over the past few days and 50 - 150 miles it's decided to spew about 1/4 of the oil content, (according to the readout).

Dripping happily from the undertray, with a mist over the side of the engine cover and front of the inlet manifold. Pools of oil on the casing beneath the inlet manifold and at the front of the head behind the oil filter.

I can't see the obvious source, but immediately suspect the OFH.

There's a very well reviewed European specialist down the road from me. If it is the housing, anyone with any rough idea of a cost to fix, ($100, $500, $1k...) ?

I could possibly do it myself, but I've just started a new job, (after a long period of unemployment, so funds are short), with a long commute. I need the car, so I'm lacking the time / knowledge / skills to be sure of a correct fix.
