I don't think much of the price distinction. The 760 is what, a ten year old tire and accompanying compound, yet still that expensive? There's no justification for that tire still being sold in here, let alone at its current price.

The wear ratings vary between the U.S. and Asia/Europe/Australia though. The RE001 (which is confirmed as the RE760 as far as I can tell) carries a 220 rating, vs. the 340 here in the U.S. for the 760. Likewise, the RE002 and RE003 carry the same 220 rating.

The Indy 500? Yup, the same 340 rating as the RE760 (RE001).
