Is it normal that the intercooler does not push up all the way to have the fan assembly clips slide fully? I saw a few installed pictures, and it looks like there is still room left. As a result, the front bumper shield needed to be pulled down a little to fit in the plastic engine shield underneath since the intercooler sits a little lower. Is this normal? Thanks in advance! |
We have done several installs, including one on my personal 1M back in the days. The intercooler does fit flush in its seat, but the fan shroud might take some tinkering to get it fully seated. Since the intercooler is slightly taller, the plastic engine under tray will be pushed down slightly after installation.
