The way to see if this is the case is to lift on the brake, immediately reapply hard and see if you can blip. Once the computer realizes you're doing it on purpose it should let you overlap throttle and brake.

I am not sure this is the case. I have done lots of brake dragging to warm up brakes and the car couldnt care less.
