Kinda off topic... but how do you find the everyday drivability of a ST N54?

I'm looking to go ST, but at this stage retain stock fueling - so for a peak power of less than 500whp. Looking at a PS2 or RB dyno graph vs ST - there seems to be a lot more 'area under the curve' with a twin setup; despite the higher peak numbers (and overall ease of service and better reliability) of a single.

But what you can never find out on a dyno, is if you're cruising along in the wrong gear and you see a gap in traffic; if you do a quick 'downshift and floor it' - does a modern twinscroll spin up almost instantly like OEM twins, or are you left with (what I like to call) "subaru lag" and a flurry of power 2 seconds later?
