If you drove it hard and got some elevated oil temps it's good practice to drive easy for a bit to get everything back to normal temps before putting it away.

No worries there. I rarely drive it anywhere near hard, other than an deserted back road on a sunday drive. I have rarely seen the oil temp guage go over halfway (120c/248f), either my oil cooler is very efficient or I am a wussy driver lol.
