Yeah I saw the 135i auto showing transmission from France. The 335 and 535 auto trans are from Germany. ZF is an international company, has plants in India and China, so who knows?
I think the ZF transmission is needed to handle the twin turbos.
Some one should dig up info on the exact model of the transmission.
