Unfortunately the mileage would be a huge turn off for most buyers, despite how well maintained or optioned the car is. Sadly there's no way to ignore the odometer. If it was mine and:
1) I didn't have room for two cars/couldn't justify insurance on both;
2) Needed the extra money for a down payment on a new car
Then I'd take the highest offer above $5500 and let it go. In this scenario, you're trying to take whatever you can get and cut yourself from further losses (ie. keeping it as a secondary vehicle - repairs, fuel, insurance, etc).
