I would stick with the lower profile options... the 40 aspect ratio sidewall on the M3 I believe was due to the fact that it does not have wide enough fenders which is not an issue on the 1M.

you should have no issues with the 275 up front (aside from potential rub at full lock - simply take care when in tight maneuvers) not hard to do... and I still have the original fender liners.

I agree with you on the ET... I would get as close as possible to stock as the wider tires will already stick out of the front fender wells a bit.
Do you know what the lowest offset I can run on a 9.5" wheel in the front with a 265 by chance? APEX makes the popular 18x9.5 ET22 that everyone runs. They offer a new 18x9.5 ET28 and BBS offers an 18x9.5 ET27. I thought those would work but APEX is saying that won't clear suspension. I don't think they have fitted those new ones. Do you have any experience with these sizes or know how much clearance you have left with your 18x9.5ET22?
