Most of the websites I find it on don't even have the pic Pablito has posted, which has no reference to even grade let alone manufacturer. I guess I want to make sure this is not just another "equivalent" like RedLine, Motul, Mobil1, etc...

Valid question, and the best bet is to search by Castrol part number. Honestly though since 1 series do not have a mechanical LSD, I'm not sure how much it matters.
