$140 for an air intake cleaning is a waste of money. It's replacing your filters, maybe spraying some antibacterial/antifungal in there.
The intake valve cleaning (the walnut shell blasting) cleans the valves and your intake manifold. My dealer asked about $800 for the service. A local shop does the same thing and only wants about $500. That would clean the carbon deposits off, but if the car isn't high mileage, it's a waste of money. I'm at 60K miles and only starting to think about doing it now.
