chris. I just removed the outer tray to my airbox and think it makes a great sound. Now I'm thinking of cutting up the tray so that I can use both sides to once again hold the filter, yet leave a nice big opening at the front to get that sound. I think someone on this board did something similar on this board, but I cant find the pic.
Note: I used to have the injen intake and this open box sounds far better. Just the right amount of sound. No drone and no weird honking noises at 3k.
