I use to have a mini cooper (non S) 03 model. Now ive got a 125i/128i.
The mini (even the non s) is a hoot to drive, once you get it up to speed. however, mine had a lot of teething problems and RATTLES ( ppl put this down to the "character of the car", but its just poor quality) hence the change in car. but the newer minis shouldnt have any of the problems i went through or any of the annoying rattles. boot.. basically it will fit one suite case, barely. aesthetically, i find the newer mini a bit ugly and bug eyed from the front, and the air intake on the bonnet is pretty much useless as they have now moved the intercooler to the front.
As the mini was a daily driver, these little things did start to annoy me.
Having said that, i would go 128i/125i for the daily (which is still a great drive), and the mini for a weekendish sort of car.
