Its like with the automatic ZF trans...
ZF builds the transmissions for BMW. BMW says the fluid is Lifetime fill - yet ZF says the fluid should be changed every 80K kms.
I think BMW does a lot of stuff like this... bc in the end... BMW would be happy when we all buy a new car every few years... just like cell phones/handys/mobiles!
