You probably are going to have to ask them for a reason. If you don't trust them, you may want to stop by and take a look as well. The old sensors could be rusted in place, they may have broken them trying to remove them, or the wiring could be too short if the sensor mounts are in different locations.
I'm not sure about the pricing though. It's almost always considerably cheaper if you do it yourself.
