Great suggestion! The dealer will take a look at my oil pan in a couple weeks time. I just wanted to make sure that the oil pan gasket leakage is indeed a 'regular' problem for our cars and it sounds like it is!

Regarding the brakes, I'll probably just end up sticking with OEM hardware.
