Let's be even more honest. The M3 (and the 3 series in general) is becoming too big and overly refined.

There are some interesting details about this on the latest Bimmerfile podcast (i.e. how high frequency feedback has been eliminated from late model bimmers, and increasing such feedback may recapture the feeling of older M cars).

Some of us want an M car more akin to the E30/36/46. I really don't care about the price
