I don't think you're way off, SSAM, but it is widely opininated that the A3 3.2 is waaaaaaay overpriced... Also, the Audi has Quattro, which would hike the price a couple of thousand. I would be more inclined to think the basic 135i will slot in on par or just below the 328i at around $40 or $41K... But I could be wrong.
My hope is that a 128i or 130i is available in the $35,000 range...
Totally agree that we'll have a 123i, eventually, but I think, as a result, they'll drop the 323i from their lineup...
